Dr. Pablo Sanchez and Dr. Jeanne Sheffield will introduce us to Congenital Syphilis and Syphilis during Pregnancy and cover the below learning objectives.
Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Describe current epidemiology of congenital syphilis and syphilis among women within the United States, to better incorporate local data and resources in management of syphilis.
2. Discuss syphilis screening recommendations for pregnant women, to ensure appropriate screening is implemented.
3. Describe clinical manifestations, diagnostic approach, staging, and management of congenital syphilis and syphilis during pregnancy, to ensure infections are diagnosed and treated.
