The California Prevention Training Center (CAPTC), in collaboration with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Office of AIDS (OA) and the STD Control Branch (STDCB) is excited to present the 2nd official Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) Summit to address the foundational role that DIS have played and continue to play in Public Health.

Separate registration is required for each day, as there will be a different Zoom link for each day of the summit.

National and State perspectives on the recognition of DIS and public health through the ages including STIs, HIV, COVID & Mpox.

Day 2

Date: June 7, 2023
Time: 9:00 am - 1:30 pm Pacific Time

Discuss racial equity programs, antiracism and biomedical approaches that support the advancement of health equity.

Day 3

Date: June 9, 2023
Time: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm Pacific Time

Learn about the future direction of Partner Services in California, DIS stories from the field and how best to avoid burnout.

Attendance is strongly recommended for Disease Intervention Workforce funded local health jurisdictions. All DIS staff would benefit from attending this summit in order to support consistency in training and capacity building.
