Overview:

This in-person training provides a review of the common STDs for teachers and other school or community based health educators.  The training also includes a review of STD/HIV transmission and impact, building comfort and capacity around sexual health education, and answering difficult questions.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this training participants will be able to:

  • Identify common STDs with a discussion on transmission and risk reduction.
  • Practice answering difficult sexuality related questions in a classroom or group setting.
  • Build confidence to teach sexual health education in the classroom.

This training will take place in San Jose - more details on location to come after registration. Registration begins at 8am and the course lasts from 8:30am - 4:30pm.
