Our STD Expert Hour Webinar Series is a recurring webinar series that highlights current topics in the prevention and management of STD to further advance your practice. We're thrilled to offer access to our network of STD Experts and hope you join us for valuable insights into delivering excellent sexual health care for your patients.
What to expect this STD Expert Hour:
Dr. Derek Blechinger, Jennifer Brodsky, Dr. Kerry Kay, and Dr. John Po will introduce us to HIV/PrEP and cover the below learning objectives.
Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Summarize current recommendations for screening and diagnosis of HIV, and discuss the importance of initiating HIV treatment, to reduce infectiousness and decrease STD/HIV transmission.
2. Discuss current data on PrEP effectiveness, and monitoring for HIV infections, STIs, and renal function, and monitoring for HIV infection, STIs, and renal function, to optimize patient outcomes.
3. Understand current range of PrEP/PEP delivery model, to better incorporate PrEP mechanisms into clinical care.
4. Name at least 1 resource for providers seeking consultation about PrEP, to assist with implementing PrEP in a clinic setting.
