The “well woman” visit has undergone dramatic changes, owing to new national guidelines that define the content and frequency of recommended interventions. This lecture will also review the current screening guidelines for breast and cervical cancer, sexually transmitted infections, and metabolic conditions. The national debate regarding the value of screening pelvic exams will be addressed. Helpful well woman visit apps will be reviewed, as well as ACA-required health insurance coverage of well women visit components.
