What to expect this STD Expert Hour:

In this edition our Medical Director, Dr. Ina Park, will present discuss what's New in the CDC's 2015 STD Treatment Guidelines.

Learning Objectives: 
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
 
1. Update clinical practice to include changes in recommendations in the revised 2015 CDC STD Treatment Guidelines
2. Summarize issues related to gonorrhea drug resistance and ensure appropriate treatment and follow up testing
3. Describe the clinical diagnosis, staging, treatment, and ongoing management of syphilis.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Curry International Tuberculosis Center and CAPTC. The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This conference is approved for 1 continuing education hours.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California State Board of Registered Nurses, Provider Number CEP 12308. This educational conference is approved for 1 continuing education hours. Board requirements prevent us from offering CE credit to people who arrive more than 15 minutes after the start of the training, or leave the training early. Therefore, partial credit will not be awarded.

Participants must receive a score of 100% on the evaluation to receive CME credits.

Participants must provide license number in order to receive credits.
