Our STD Expert Hour Webinar Series is a recurring webinar series that highlights current topics in the prevention and management of STD to further advance your practice. What to expect this STD Expert Hour:

Learning Objectives: 
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
 
1. Discuss benefits using IUD for long-acting reversible contraceptive (larc).
2. List considerations of STD when inserting an IUD.
3. Develop a strategy to minimize STD risk. 
4. Identify key counseling messages to encourage IUD patients to prevent new STD infection.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Curry International Tuberculosis Center and CAPTC. The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This conference is approved for 1 continuing education hours.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California State Board of Registered Nurses, Provider Number CEP 12308. This educational conference is approved for 1 continuing education hours. Board requirements prevent us from offering CE credit to people who arrive more than 15 minutes after the start of the training, or leave the training early. Therefore, partial credit will not be awarded.

Participants must receive a score of 100% on the evaluation to receive CME credits.
